Bends down and pauses then swings his club once, followed by a whirlwind attack.

Basically a stronger variant of Shadow Fang. In addition to the normal club attack, he'll also do a whirlwind attack.
In Gold Leather, you may lure him to the steamrollers where they will constantly damage and knock him down. However, this is very time consuming, as the damage of the steamrollers are incredibly low.
Make use of your surrounding and objects. A good way to stagger him is to lead him near a pillar and let him smash it. The falling rocks will deal some damage. The fallen rocks can also be carried and thrown at him to deal a significant amount of damage.
